1.1 miles, round-trip, loop
Talk a stroll around a quiet, scenic lake on an easy-
going multi-use path. This walkway is appropriate for
all ages and abilities. You're likely to see geese, ducks
maybe a heron, & squirrels. There are resting benches,
picnic tables and interpretative exercise suggestions-
-along the way. The path is nearly flat for the entire-
-distance. Bonus Tip: Arrive early for some impressive-
-sunrises, illuminating and reflecting off the pretty lake.

Distance: 1.1 miles, loop around a pretty lake.
Time: 1 - 1.5 hours.
Trail Surface: Concrete walking path.
Crowds: Light. There are a couple neighborhoods that connect into this trail. You're likely to see others,
but not many people.
Trailhead & Parking: The best place to park is the large parking area behind the Don Tequilas Mexican
restaurant (and next to the AMC Harbison movie theater) that is off Afton Court, Columbia, SC 29212.
GPS coordinates: 34.076750, -81.161028 or 34°04'36.3"N 81°09'39.7"W.
After parking your car, walk to the northeast corner of the parking lot and you'll see the curving
concrete path that leads to a tunnel that goes under Archers Lane. This is where you begin. After
walking through the short tunnel, you'll emerge at the Harbison Community Lake.

Restrooms: None.
Precautions: There are a couple wood boardwalks and foot bridges can be slippery when wet, even with morning dew. There could be biting insects in warmer months. Bring insect repellent.
