Paddle to a trio of islands spanning three-quarters
of a mile with lots of opportunity for exploration, wildlife
and even kayak/canoe camping! These islands have a
remote feel to them and are not as often visited by
motorized boats. Bring your poles; there's excellent-
-bass fishing on the large island's west side!

Difficulty: Moderate; there is 1.9 miles of open water to cross.
Distance: 6.6 miles, round-trip.
Time: minimum of 3 - 4 hours to enjoy this paddle.
Crowds: Light. Best to paddle during the week to avoid the most number of motorized boats.
Put In / Take Out: Boat Ramp at Lake Murray Dam / Lake Murray Dam North Recreation Area, 2102 N.

Current: Negligible, generally a southeast direction.
Precautions: Winds above 10 MPH can be tough for a paddler on Lake Murray. There is a lot of open
water for wind to intensify and cause waves/whitecaps. Be mindful of fast moving motorized boats and
use your paddle to signal your location.
Water Level: For this Blueway paddle trail, water level is not as much of a concern.
