Peachtree "Rock" is one of the most famous in
the state of SC! People drive from all over to see
and experience this trail system. These trails are
rich in history, riddled with fossils of ancient maritime
creatures, and the area has layered sandstone-
-formations. There's even a legit waterfall, in the-
-Midlands! Hike as little, or as much as you want;-
-The famous Peachtree Rock is only 1.2 miles (rt).

Difficulty: Moderate, due to distance and trail having lots of roots that require careful footing.
Distance: 7.5 miles, if you walk the entire loop; options for shorter distances.
Time: 2 - 3 hours.
Trail Surface: Dirt, natural trail surface with lots of roots.
Crowds: This trail is well known and popular. Less likely to see many other hikers during the week;
weekends are almost guaranteed to be busy.

Precautions: Biting insects can be formidable in the warmer months. Bring insect repellent. This trail, more
than any other in the Lexington Walkways program has lots of roots and some rocks on the trails that require
careful, deliberate footing.
