 # 9 - Three Amigos Paddle-
-Lake Murray-

 Rated: Easy 

 3.2 miles, round-trip 

 

 One of the most beginner-friendly paddle routes in the 

 Lexington Blueways program, visit three small, quaint 

 islands within a short distance. These islands are 

 great for birding, having a picnic lunch, or getting out 

 for a short walk to stretch your legs. Bonus: there are-
-not any large open water crossings with this paddle route.

Difficulty:  Easy. 

Distance:  3.2 miles, round-trip.

Time:  1.5 - 2 hours.

Crowds:  Light.

Put In / Take Out:  Rocky Point Recreation Area / Boat Ramp, 411 Rocky Ramp Dr., Chapin, SC 29036.

Current:  Negligible, generally a southeast direction.

Precautions:  Winds above 10 MPH can be tough for a paddler on Lake Murray. There is a lot of open

water for wind to intensify and cause waves/whitecaps. Be mindful of fast moving motorized boats and

use your paddle to signal your location.

Water Level:  For this Blueway paddle trail, water level is not as much of a concern.
