 The Three Rivers Greenway / West Columbia Riverwalk 

 in Lexington County connects with the Cayce Riverwalk. 

 Like its shared namesakes, this multi-use path parallels 

 the Congaree River and is a great place for a relaxing 

 walk, jog, bicycle, or just checking out the incredible-
-beauty of the area! The path is mostly flat, and is even-
-appropriate for strollers and wheelchairs. You'll find-
-benches for resting and picnic tables on the trail. -

Difficulty:  Easy.

Distance:  2.2 miles, roundtrip for the Three Rivers Greenway/West Columbia Riverwalk in Lexington

County. Trail connects with Cayce Riverwalk and Three Rivers Greenway in Richland County.

Time:  1 hour, but spend as much time as you want enjoying this trail system.

Trail Surface:  Mostly concrete with wood boardwalks and foot bridges.

Crowds:  This trail is very popular; you're likely to see many others, even on weekdays.

Trailhead & Parking:  There are 3 access points. From north to south, they are:

Adams Street Trailhead: Adams Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.

Amphitheater Trailhead: Alexander Road & Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.

GPS: 33.994556, -81.053000 or 33°59'40.4"N 81°03'10.8"W.

Blossom Street Trailhead: The best place to park is on Kiln Street, Cayce, SC 29033.

GPS: 33.987750, -81.050167 or 33°59'15.9"N 81°03'00.6"W.

Restrooms:  Yes.

 

Precautions:  The wood boardwalks and foot bridges can be slippery when wet, even with morning dew. Biting insects can be formidable in warmer months. Bring insect repellent. There are warnings that alligators could be in the area.
